We had it all at the Friends of the Takoma Park Maryland Library spring book sale. Thanks to the Lucky Cats Jazz Orchestra and to Girl Scout Troop 2131 for taking our book sale up a notch. And of course, thanks to all of our wonderful volunteers, book donors, and to the readers young and old who bought our books!
Sunday, February 25, Eric Bond’s “Talk of Takoma” on WOWD-LP (94.3 FM) features a segment on the little free libraries around town. Click this link to see a map of little free library locations.

It has just been announced that Takoma Park’s Bond Bill request for $150,000 for Library renovation has been approved!
Many thanks to Friends of the Library Board President Tim Rahn, who raced to the Library on a rainy night to testify before the State Legislature representatives in support of this Bill. Tim earned his retirement from being president!
Thanks also to Ward 1 Council Member Peter Kovar who testified in support of the Bond bill in Annapolis, and was instrumental in securing it’s approval.
We are on our way !
