The Friends of the Takoma Park Maryland Library is the sponsor of a number of Little Free Libraries around town (where books are available for contactless pickup). Here are their locations:

Celebrating Women Authors of Color
Five Little Free Libraries were erected in early 2020 that feature portraits of groundbreaking female authors of color and the LBGTQ community. The authors, and the Little Free Library locations, are:
Maya Angelou – 8630 Flower Avenue near Piney Branch Road intersection
Senedu Gebru – Anne Street near University Boulevard East intersection
Juana Martinez-Neal – Sligo Mill Overlook Neighborhood Park at 6400 Orchard Avenue
Rigoberta Menchu – Aldi shopping center at 7609 New Hampshire Avenue
Virginia Woolf – 8308 Flower Avenue
