“In the past 24 years the Friends have been of inestimable value to our Library – both in raising funds, advocating for us at the State and local levels – and keeping us at the forefront of community attention and concern. They introduced our first public internet stations, engaged us in the wonderful Spring for Poetry series, funded and facilitated numerous book discussions, brought scholars and journalists to speak, purchased thousands of free lanyards for kids’ library cards, purchased furnishings and reference materials, and organized numerous book sales. With these and their many contributions to our children’s services – we are able to remain a vibrant, diverse and responsive local public library.”
