The Friends of the Takoma Park Maryland Library will hold its annual meeting on Monday, July 28, at 7:00 p.m. in the Hydrangea Room of the community center. At this meeting, we will hold elections for the Board.
Normally, our annual meeting includes a speaker — usually a local author. This year, however, we are planning something to coincide with the opening of the newly-renovated library. Since we don’t yet know the opening date of the new library, we’ve decided to go ahead and have our annual meeting and elections separate from any special program.
A slate of candidates seeking to join the board, or seeking reelection, will be sent to our member list at a later date. If you would like to be considered for a seat on the board, or if there is someone you would like to nominate, reach out to us via the contact page.
Members who are paid up in their dues are eligible to vote for the board. If it’s been a while since you’ve made a donation, maybe it’s time to renew. You can join or renew your membership HERE.
